Spectra Tech Inc. awards PSI contract to provide physical security of NRC licensed facilities at Fort Saint Vrain’s (FSV) Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) Facility in Colorado.

(Oak Ridge TN.) April 15, 2019:  Fort Saint Vrain (FSV) was Colorado’s only nuclear power plant, operating from 1979 to 1989.  The plant fully decommissioned in 1992 becoming the first US commercial nuclear plant to be decommissioned.  Protection Strategies Incorporated (PSI) has been contracted to implement the FSV Physical Protection Plan (PPP) and provides physical security for FSV in accordance with Department of Energy (DOE) policy and its Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license requirements.
